Sounds very cool, but the teardrop Quicklies would, I think better match the 50's aero styling of the 'van...And two identical (ish) NSU's would look awesome. I've always thought the veloSolex 3800 looks a bit like it was built by the sort of chap that builds a trike out of half a Beetle and some RSJs....Cerberus73 wrote:well i know where theres a pair of peanut tank 2 speed NSU Quickly's and i can get them cheap... but i do love the look of the velosolex. me and a chum fancy building a teardrop mini caravan, fit a bike rack to it and carry a pair of either of those peds on it. but have to be in keeping with the old school looks of the caravan. it has to be light and small enough to tow behind a VW polo.

Agree , I kinda like the 'Meccano ' look , and as for the Beetle trike thing any design that involves a sliding battery tray as a brake gets the thumbs up from meguildbass wrote:Sounds very cool, but the teardrop Quicklies would, I think better match the 50's aero styling of the 'van...And two identical (ish) NSU's would look awesome. Re: Velosolex... how "fun" are they?
The best "ped" i ever rode was a Heinkel Pearl,i did battle with many other peds and always beat them, that was over 50 yrs ago, there are probably much quicker peds on the scene now.
I dont think i would like to ride a ped these days for fear of constantly being curbed by inconsiderate motorists.
Being a biker i always try to give all road users consideration, inc pedal bikes and horses,i think this will apply to most bikers/motorists
