Got the POX
So after getting round doing a few job and drop off's and visits i managed to get round to picking up the Vox. Unfortunately i couldn't get any one to drop me off so i had to go in the van, after getting there the lads set about taking off the mirrors so i could get it in the C15. Finally get it home i get it out the van and set about putting the mirrors back and get me helmet on ,the lads at Blackcountry motorcycles had kindly filled it with petrol so no need to bugger about and i could head for the open road. After stopping at Specsavers to pick up my new specs i head for the motorway as ive never run anything in,in my life which could be the answer to why i have my appalling breakdown record XD XD.
The up and down of it is that top speed is 55 can get to 60 but is happy at 50 gave it 100 mile and then home to take the bugger apart for photos of what's under all that plastic. On doing this found its a carb model and none of that fancy fuel injection, on the whole im very happy with it my only thing thats disappointed me was the tele forks they don't give as good suspension as leading link but the brakes are great. The plastics are quite thick and it seems well put together the gears are smooth and the box goes from 4th to neutral at a stand still and it will start in gear on the button,Headlight is good and the tank is 4.5l. So for £1299 im happy with it

When I looked at one the fuel tap was amusing... but what is the vacuum pipe on the manifold and pipe under the engine ? EGR? big tank is good news though.

Re: Got the POX
A carb i'm realy suprised at that. Looks just like the Cub engine with a bit of Innova pipework thrown infor emissions. For £1300.00 quid it's a bargain.I know it might not be everyones cup of tea but for that price you just can't knock it.

Re: Got the POX
At the money and given the warranty etc, the Vox makes those Chinese riders cubs at £1250 look optimistically priced. Hope you enjoy it! Will we see it at Rhayader or the other welsh meet ?

That looks like a proper bargain Pete, well done.Get a front mudflap fitted to keep the motor clean.I think the engine looks a bit like this one.
