Alan CF

Are you still doing rebuilds?

I've sent you a private message.

Hello Alan,

I need your help this time. Short notice, could you help me with a barrel and a piston/rings to match it? I need to do a rebuild in a very short time (on the IOW's Southern Softies...)... :? Are you coming down this year? I would love to have you around for assistance. I will pay the price just to let you know. :D

Alan, how are the piston rings on these? Is it worth getting original Honda rings? This is what DogRustyJr had on the good old EBF (the above kit with Honda rings). I still have the piston on my desk here at work and it looks good.

i have fitted the kits ok, but your right, if you want to fit honda rings and piston it would be better, Main supply company always adv its down to budget,

if you have the dosh then jap piston and rings, if your on a budget, use there piston but fit jap rings, and if your selling her on,,, then cheap rings... :P

I would say i have only had one issue, well not me, but a rebuild we did started to smoke 3k miles later, so a new cylinder fit was ordered, but that might have been due to a constant thrashing for 3k.
