Im only a "blow in" though. Im from Co. Armagh originally (Craigavon). You'll know all about the stepthru scene here then Leiba I'm sure.

Hub doesn't know anything about it really, his only memories are the 'old boys' using them around the farms etc. When he first met me my bike was off the road because I had a 3yr old whipper snapper in tow so the bike wasn't practical. 5 years later and he didn't want me to put it back on the road. Like most non bikers he saw it as a dangerous thing but I did it anyway. He's more confident now that he knows it's not me who's dangerous but the other drivers and that I am well aware of those dangers. Indeed he even bought me a brand new bike in 98 and bought the one I'm currently using.
I know a bit about the nifty fifty runs but only from what I read and see from videos.
I have even spotted one of my ex-bikes on a run in Monaghan of all places via a video but I suspect it's number plate has changed to an Irish one now although I'd still recognise it if nothing else has changed.

Definitely dreaming, this 1973 C70 we sold couple months ago made £690 on Ebay......the buyer got a gem....
