You'd certainly have to be mad to buy one of his £350 're-con' engines. I'd say untouched removed running or well worn bits jammed in from those job lot he's selling. After all if you re-con engines like he says he does why would you sell all them as a job lot?

Aye, they all look like 6v C90. Not much demand for them I s'pose. If I had a 6v 90 and lived within a few miles I'd take them at that price though. Keep the best condition parts and you'd have a few pints' profit on a weigh-in with what's left!

Thing is, if they go cheap he'll probably just not sell them to you. He's got rather a lot of form for that.
