Plenty to pick from e bay this week if you fancy a custom job .
Is the trend passing us by , or has the crimbo credit card bill arrived?
I think it's more that these bikes were projects, and once the build is complete, the fun diminishes.

It's horrifically sad. The same is happening to CG125s.

Also that the various improvements have produced something impractical and maybe unsafe.
But maybe there are positives to be taken. Could be that someone, having gone down this route, might realise the appeal of the standard bike and go for a restoration next using their acquired skills?
Dunno.

Did these guys move onto restoring classic old Fords?

Probably not but I did some particularly nasty things to an LD125 in my youth making it unrideable. Learnt a lot in the process and have not reoffended since (much).
That Capri needs the rear jacking by 12" at least and the sunstrip with Wayne/Sharon! (Essex through and through here)
That's brought back a memory - My first wife was Christine - we had a Wolseley Hornet with a sunstrip "Chris/Chris". Not for long though.
