Basic economics.
It's worth what someone will pay for it.
Looks well done, too.

Re: Yowzer
Exhaust is reminiscent of the old Piper 4-1's from the 70's & 80's. Tyres look like centipedes! Quite a few nice touches on there and well finished too.

Re: Yowzer
I'm starting to appreciate street cubs. For me they'll never replace the real thing and it's right that so many of us restore them back to their original condition before they just rot away.
When I see a street cub now, I'm beginning to see them no longer as a modified cub but almost a different model altogether.
This one is stunning, enhanced by some extremely clever advertising pictured in a cafe quarter. It really sets it off.
We know better than to fork out £3500 but can't you just see some city yuppie coming along and buying it?

Re: Yowzer
I now see Boris Johnson turning up to a city of london meeting or joining a biker gang of modified cubs and entering the lord mayors show. OMG what have you done, That should kill off the street cred for the bobber cub seen for a few years. Can someone please suggest this to boris.knapdog wrote:I'm starting to appreciate street cubs. Re: Yowzer
I still don,t get the street cub thing. These bikes can't be used for normal road use, no mudguards, when it rains, your back and bum will be soaking wet, the seats have no real cushion, you'll get a sore arse after a few miles and generally they have no indicators and they have no way of carry any sort of luggage/shopping.
I can see why the young might be attracted to them as the aesthetics are "cool" but these Cubs sell for a lots and lots of money so who's buying them?
