Rant yes, but he's bang on isn't he? 7 mile round trip for me to the post office.

Fair point but for a similar reason I always use MyHermes. Wrap up your parcel, weigh it, pay for it online, print out label and they'll collect it. I always insert a message saying to collect it from a certain place in the front garden. The driver now automatically goes there each time and just pushes a card through my letter box. I've sold loads of stuff on ebay this way including, actually, a topbox and rack.

Yes I use My Hermes too. I take to the collection point in Mendlesham, as trying to get couriers out here in the sticks is hopeless. That's a 7-8 mile round trip too. :(
