Hi everyone
Hi,
My name is idle steve from Bradford
I have just bought a 1976 Beaver brown 6v C90 (the same as my dad used to have) which is in very good original condition with T&T.
It has only 6800 miles on the clock which I believe is genuine
It was running a little lumpy but after cleaning the carb, adjusting the points and setting the plug gap which was 6 thou it now runs spot on & idles with the lovely phut phut phut sound.
I will post a couple of pics soon, it has the engine covers off at the moment for painting and the cleaning of the filters.
Very pleased with it.
I know conrod-fitter from my other interests in Honda MB & MT's

Re: Hi everyone
Welcome Steve. There is a growing number of Cub owners from in and around your area. Be sure to keep an eye out for local ride outs. I'm near Cleckheaton and run a 1981 C70ZZ. Great choice in colour. I much prefer the more non blue/ red bikes.

Hi Steve and welcome. You have an impressive stable of bikes listed. . My first road bike was a cub in '89 which was traded for an MBX 80 with flames on the tank.

Hi steve, good to see you on here,
seeing all your MT/MB restorations at most of the bike shows, will your new collection to your stable get the same treatment.

Would love to come but I am at the east coast in my static caravan till Monday, plus the old girl has the engine casings drying after painting in the airing cupboard (wife is moaning about the smell of the towels again ).
Please keep me informed of further events and I will pop along.
Steve.

Yes, the collection of bikes is getting a bit out of hand at the moment. I shouldn't have put the VFR400 down really as it belongs to the wife!
But someone has to blow the cobwebs out now and again
She thinks that i have reached a new 'retro' phase in my life... And maybe I'll leave her vfr alone for a bit
I sold my last MBX80, but I have 2 others to restore. I kept the NOS Micron though

Re: Hi everyone
I think that the C90 will stay unrestored as it is in good condition, I will just smarten it up a bit. Will post some pics when I get home (at the east coast this weekend).CONROD-FITTER wrote:Hi steve, good to see you on here,

It will be nice to have a daily rider and not bother about the forcast.
Steve.

Re: Hi everyone
Welcome to the C90 Club Steve. Wish I could join the Yorkshire bimbles ..... though has it stopped snowing yet?
