Sheffield lad getting into c90s !

Post by brutank » Tue Mar 20, 2012 10:25 pm

'ey'up lads & lasses !

18 year old lad wanting something reliable , good on petrol and vintage to commute to work on ... Ding c90 !

Currently own a Kawasaki Ninja Zx6r 636 which is TERRIBLE on petrol ... and getting kind of bored of having all that power and not being able to use them !

Saving up and looking in to getting a c90 at around August or something , which gives me time to research etc....

Looking to spend around £500-£600 on one :) and wanting the later 12V version ;)

Thanks ! :)

Na that was an event in sheffield last year for a charity event for disabled bikers, I went just to meet others and support the cause and a friend came along and took pictures of me on the bike :) !

Thanks for the welcome (: !

Welcome to the C90 Club :D

Quite a few members have bigger bikes and quite a few will tell you which bike is more fun! :P

Obviously the running cost thing is attractive but it's not the only lure! For that the money you mention you'll have no trouble getting a good one. Look under the rear wheel arch and under the seat for signs of rust. ;)

Welcome Brutank, as Pjam says 5-600 quid will get you a decent enough bike, though i'd be looking at sooner rather than later as prices seem to be very much on the up at the moment  The Yorkshire and Lancs riders get out for a lot of rides, if you keep an eye in the meetings section you'll find something! Big meeting not far from you Matlock Bath outside the Aquarium Sat Mar 31st/Sun Apr 1st if you fancy a ride down for a nosey and a chat with any of us.....would suggest being there about 9am, likely more riders on the Sunday ;)

Sometimes members try to sell their Cub, usually we try to put them off

Best deal I ever got was from the local rag!

well looks like I may be planning to get one in about June/july ?

I got told I've got a pay rise from my boss ... ALWAYS a good thing ;)

If I could maybe try get one for around £400 / £450 ... Id be preatty happy ....

I'd then love to customise it myself and add personal touches ,

But I wouldn't go silly ... I usually like things near enough to original :)
