Post by Pr2C90 » Tue Nov 21, 2023 6:04 pm

Good evening can anyone tell me where to get panniers or luggage for a c90 ?I already have a rear rack and rickman box fitted . Just wondering what is best for the sides maybe.
Any help greatly appreciated.

IMHO the best looking are the original Rickman/Hondastyle panniers sold by Honda in the 70's and 80's. Several people have had them and they look just right. They do come up on eBay sometimes and were used on most of their bikes of that era. Some had hinged lids, others the lids were removeable.
I had a set on a 550/4 in 1979 which were fibreglass with removeable lids, you could skin your knuckles on the inside and forgot to lock them on once or twice which resulted in having to backtrack and pick them up.
The cheap Chinese black panniers I bought for my C90 were about £40 in 2016, they are still out there for £150-200, best avoided IMO.
At the bottom of the price range are ex PO panniers or postman's bags. :D

Put 4240 99 800 96011 field pack into Google.

It will return army DPM bag on eBay cheapest bought last week £13 each

Cut the straps off leaving the plastic eyes and cable tie to your rack edge. Heavy duty (army issue) none damaging like hard throw overs and machine washable.

Will hold a 5 litre jerry can

Now have them fitted to 3 outta 4 bikes
