Hi from Ireland

Post by Pdtuning » Mon Feb 27, 2023 7:18 pm

Hi everyone,
I'm a car mechanic myself and have rode bigger bikes for the past 6 years. A friend has just bought a 1988 C90 and wants me to get it running and serviced so thought this would be the best place to learn.

I'll be downloading any workshop manuals I can find.

I'm about to order a new 12v battery, oil filter screen and air filter as I don't know what work has been done already. He says the electic start dosent work hence why I'm getting a battery to cover that end of the problem

Welcome!
There is a workshop manual in the manuals area which covers the C90E (1985ish), pretty generic details but sadly not the ES version, that's one I would like. It's available from JonFoster's Dropbox.

I think others on here have replaced starter motors with Chinese parts but it's worth noting that some Chinesey starters are quite a lot longer than the C90MG and foul the legshield.
