Its a 6 Volt C90 engine alright.
The forks will fit into your frame.
It has the later carb and appears to have had the chrome guards at the bottom of the forks at some point.
Worth a punt if the price is right.
The frame has obviously been welded up but may even be usable for a 2nd project

So the vin on the first frame is a 7 digit number. First three are 515. I don't see it stamped on the frame, just on the small plate.

Should be stamped on the frame above the engine mounts on the left hand side when sitting on the bike.
The one on ebay says VIN legible but is that the stamp on the frame or the VIN plate ?
If the stamped frame number above the engine is missing probably stolen/cloned etc
Are you discussing yours or the one on ebay ?
I know for a fact in the 1990s there were six guys who all knew each other riding around Derbyshire all on Blue Honda 90s with the same reg plate .All chipping into a group TAX, MOT and Insurance Policy.
VIN possibly removed for this type of reason so not stolen just gone.
My biggest concern with the above mentioned multiple bike ownership was not the thwarting of the law or the paying of taxes but the unfortunate time
an accident occurs and you get carted off to hospital unconscious and could get a blood infusion aligned to the legal owner with a different blood group to yours

I was talking about my own frame, yes.I've now found the VIN stamped on the bike, right where you said it would be. Would you know year of manufacture based on first three digits being 515. From my limited knowledge I think its a '76 or '77 .

C90-5100001 was 76 on so it would be 76

Genius idea, hard enough just to get a new number plate now without a V5.

As for blood groups they never rely on ICE cards as things can be lent out.

So I've done a vin2reg check on the vin number and I now have its UK number plate. Last taxed in 1993. Can I get this registered in my name or is that simply not possible. I'm in Ireland so that adds to the difficulty I'm sure.

Again a very grey area the document V5 is assigned to the registered keeper not the legal owner although they are often but not always the same person.
If you have any friends or relatives in the UK simply get them to apply for the V5 (25 quid last time i did it) and become the registered keeper and once the paperwork is done you can "take it back " and take it to Ireland and transfer documents with a UK logbook.

Mostly getting a new V5 is all just paper pushing occasionally they want a photo of the frame number and even rarer they will come to have a look or ask for it to be taken to a DVLA inspection centre for confirmation.
If they do want a photo the more complete the bike looks the better.
