6v 50 bottom end and complete 12v 70 top end

6v 50 bottom end and complete 12v 70 top end
Hi thanks for the ad. Can anyone tell me if a 12v complete 70 top end will go on a 6v 50 bottom. Thanks

Yes and no.
Barrel and head will fit, but the piston from the 12v wont as the crown hight is different.
Better to fit the 6v C70 barrel and head with its piston to the C50 bottom end.
Also when fitting bigger bore bits remember to upgrade the oil pump to a bigger one.

steve g many thanks for the info. I have the complete 6v top end 50cc. I think i will just stick with that for now. The reason i was asking is that i already have a 12 v 70 top end kicking about. I think i know what you mean with the crown sitting lower (flat top and domed top pistons). Thanks again
