Hi all, I’m a newbie and have recently sold my Yamaha TMax 500 auto.

I’m from Southern Hampshire and am keen to buy a Honda C90 and am looking for any advice.

Many thanks 😊

Vince Faithful on the Isle and Daren Penn as well. Have a look through the sales pages on here and Facebook.

Welcome!

I'm not the one to give advice, plenty of people on here far better qualified.

Apart from ....... decide what you want the bike for. IMHO 12v bikes are the easiest to live with day to day than the older 6v which look nicer. The C90C and C70C are a nice compromise round lamp bike with 12v motors. 12v parts are easier to source too.

We like Southern Hants here and the Southern Softies weekend is usually run from Hurst View at Lymington or somewhere on the IOW.

Hi and welcome.
Depends on your spanner skills. All these Cubs are getting older now. Buy as good as you can or can afford unless you have previous classic car or bike experience for renovation or restore? As said, if you want an everyday useable classic, then an 80s and 90s square headlight model is best. CDI ignition, good 12volt electrics and most parts available even if pattern of varying quality!
Rear wheel arch (frame behind tank) between shocks must be checked for corrosion. You need torch to look under arch. Anything crispy or rusty needs investigation!
Lots sf help and advise on here.
Good luck Cub hunting,
All the best,
Cheers Andy.
