Good Afternoon Everyone,
I bought a 1985 C90 Cub a few weeks ago, never owned one before but I love it !
I have a few other motorcycles but wanted something I could ride 10 miles a day on and wear trainers, jeans etc as opposed to bike boots etc

Agree.
A slide on my Valkyrie at 15mph is the same as a slide on my cub at that speed.
I've recently lost a very good friend at that very speed in a motorcycle accident.

I'm afraid that I'm a bit reckless when it comes to footwear. I always wear sandals all year, winter. included. I have got a pair of motorcycle boots but I hate wearing them. I don't even wear shoes or boots when walking even in winter, it's still my sandals.

Each to their own. I rode mine last Monday for about 20 miles wearing a suit and leather soled shoes, didn't feel right. I was the only one of nine following the hearse not in full riding kit.
Not that funeral, the roads were very quiet!

Ditto to the ATGATT. Having binned a C90 at around 30mph in full bike gear I hobbled away with a twisted ankle. My gear was trashed from boots to lid.

I know the sensible thing is to wear full motorcycle gear, I'm neither big nor clever for not doing so. I didn't realise that would be the focus of my post .... I'm now the owner of a C90, which makes me very happy but I'm no mechanic but very keen to get my hands dirty
