Hello from new Member

Post by ConroySimon » Mon Sep 19, 2022 12:54 pm

Hi all,

My name is Simon and I am from Dundalk on the east coast of Ireland.

Thanks for the membership.

I inherited a year 2000 c90 from my late father who liked his small bikes. It has been parked up in the shed for the last 12 years. It was always stored indoors so it's in reasonable condition. I rode bikes about 30 years ago - Honda 100 / Honda MBX 80 / Honda CX500.

I was looking for a mechanic in my area but all mechanics I phoned said they don't work on small bikes! So I am currently doing a few jobs myself to get it ready for the road and really looking forward to getting out and about for Sunday spins.

Welcome to the forum.

Might be an idea to put your location and the year of your bike in your details so that they appear whenever you post or reply to a post. You never know who may be local to you. :D

Welcome.

Cub ownership appears to thrive in Ireland.

Enjoy!

Thanks Capitano,

When I grew up people used 50's 70's and 90's for short journeys to work as they were a cheaper transport option. They faded away as wealth grew and car ownership increased. It rains a lot here in Ireland so the car was and will always be king.

Most of the cubs I see on the road are people riding for pleasure and that's the group I will be in - the fair weather riding club!
