Welcome JP1 I'm just over the border in Essex (when in UK) but shop in Sudbury as town centre of choice (though council have now tendered out for traffic wardens) & free parking outside spec savers a bonus.

Second hand prices have dropped slightly but innova still in demand as new stock still short.
If its just for touring take 125cc to make life easier. The vision is 110 & mode have slightly smaller wheels.

Pop along to John Banks at Bury they happy to chat & quite honest on stock availability.

Waldorf (another forum) raves the NIU but sadly as you state real world useage still a bit short

Spend a lot of time riding the Suffolk cycle routes and love Barking as its so different to its diverse Essex namesake

Thank you

I'm an Essex boy originally (although not by birth as I was born in the Herts & Essex in Bishops Stortford)

Still some lovely lanes in Essex. Wednesday I was at Writtle for work and wiggled my way back through High Easter, Pleshey, Black Chapel, Barnston , Steeple Bumpstead, Haverhill

Lived in Writtle for a few months in 1986 and had the narrowest escape of my life. A friend had a Stan Stevens tuned RD350LC and insisted I take it round the block. I rode past the college wondering what all the fuss was about when it hit the powerband. The humpback bridge was higher then, took to the air and landed on the front wheel. Something that contributed to my 20+ years lay off of bikes.

Welcome! I always enjoy riding around Suffolk whenever I can, best done on my own, without a plan on a nice day. Visited Pakenham a year or two ago on one such bimble.

All started when I was 15 when cycling between Youth Hostels with a schoolmate, I can remember staying in Haughton Mill and Naughton Mill. Might have to plan a route to look at them again sometime.
You'd be welcome anytime to swing by on a bimble ..............

I have cattle at Assington near Sudbury in the Summer and also near Woodbridge at what I term #SuttonMoo

One of the joys with my little Gear 50 is finding the back lanes and different variations . Last night I came back from Assington via Boxford, Kersey, stopped at Bildeston for fish and chips and then through Buxhall and Woolpit

This place is very addictive. I'm reading more and more and now I'm even more undecided on another bike

Vision 110
SH Mode
SH125
C125

If the NIU electric scooter had more real World Winter range then I'd consider one of those but 80 miles on the sales blurb is no good when it's less than 60. I was of a mid to push my AP50 the last mile home when I ran out of juice at 16 but I'm blowed if I'm up for any of that when I'm 60 !
