Greetings all! Newbie wondering 50,70 Or 90?
Good evening!
Brand new to cubs, haven't even riden or owned one, but am possessed by the need to get one for some reason and I thought you lovely folk may have some ideas
Shropshire based.
Want it to be original and faithful daily.
Ps. Should I be scared about ice and cornering when it gets colder?
Cheers!

Hi and welcome. The 12 volt 90 is the easiest to get along with as most parts are available .
Winter riding ..get a car.The advantage of the Cub is that it is easy to pick up

hi, just a fast run down, c90 12v cubs are easy to fix and run, from 1983 to 2002, early ones are 6v, parts hard to find, and have issues, early c50/c70 are 6v but are also good, its hard to explain.... , they did a later 12v c50 c70 , that had squire headlight there good,
then in between was the c90c c50c c70c, that had a round headlight but was 12v.
But keep away from the 6v c90. (before 1983 ish.)
Good luck and ask questions before you buy.

Thanks for that information, folks.
I guess I will begin my search and ask questions as they arise.
Are they really so difficult in the wet or less than favourable conditions? I have a 13 mile each way commute. I need some fresh air!

Folks, there's a pristine dark red c90 on eBaywith matching topbox priced at 1345 or best offer. It has been relisted from 1495 and he wouldn't take a sensible offer. It's in Crewe. Could someone take a look over it and tell me just how good it is and if there is anything that doesn't look right?
Many thanks.
Many thanks.

Alan,
I'm really curious about the c50 as I believe the first ones were fifties, right? You didn't mention what you thought of this one? Do you know which years they ran? Are they a good prospect if youre not in a hurry:)
