Hi - Just got a 1969 CT90 Trials and need to get it recommissioned and MoT'd after a long stretch in storage. Can anyone recommend a Bike shop in Birmingham or West Midlands that is sympathetic to old C90 type bikes? Also need to source a few parts like throttle cable etc. Any good websites for sourcing bits and / or contacts would be much appreciated - Thanks.

Hi and a belated welcome. CMSNL and David Silver stock a lot of old parts , look up what you need on the CMSNL site (Google it ) then see if David silver have it .If you have a part number you could try a main Honda Bike dealer.

Re: Newbie and just got a CT90 Trials
Hi - Thanks for replies. David Silver looks like a useful parts source.
My 1969 - CT90 K1 is ready for its MOT - all electrics are working and are good, brakes are good and it starts first or second kick.
Fuel pipes have been replaced new knobbly tyres have been put on (originals kept - bit too cracked for road use) and oil and petrol are all fresh and good. Mileage is 670 or thereabouts and believe it to be original by looking at bikes condition and orignality.
Bike was imported in 1991 and has been in storage since then - it is smoking a bit blue when running - any suggestions ? Think top end rebuild would help ? Will I be ok to use as is as long as I keep a close eye on oil level ?
Year of manufacture was I think 1969
Year of sale was April 1970
Can anyone confirm if a CT90 K1 has same engine as 1969 C90 ? I think they are probably the same...but I am not positive?
USA Bike
Engine No: CT90E242264
Frame No: CT90242153
Any help or advise would be welcome and I will try and post pictures in the next week or so.
Thanks
Sean

I'm pretty sure that the bolt spacings are different on a CT to a C90.
A common thing with Aus Posties (both CT90/CT110) is to drop in a Lifan 125 but this requires an adaptor plate.
Prepared to be shot down in flames!

Best for parts will be D@K Newcastle staffs, biggest breaker in the UK but can be expensive, the premises are massive and also import a huge amount of containers from the U.S.,l have used them many times for hard to get items and its not that far from Brum if you fancy a run up the M6,mot wise is Dave Cartledge but it's round the corner from me Willenhall ! few miles from Walsall, last one l took in he did a cursory quick check and passed it (S90) but l have used him for years.
