Hi All, I'm new to this forum but not biking. I've just bought a little 2014 AFS Wave 110i. Primarily it will be used as a shuttle bus for me and the missus when were out kayaking. Leave the bike locked up at the get out point, and paddle down to there from upstream somewhere, where we'll leave the van, and then I shuttle back for the van with the bike, you get the idea, it makes us independent.
Biking history, well 5 decades of riding from old step through Ralieghs round the local gravel pits, onto a C90,a CB175, then a series of Suzuki GT'S," hhhhmmmeeee Ram Air ", then anything dirt orientated, Moto X, 3 stage trials, long distance trials, Trail biking on my now sadly sold CRM 250 MK3.
I've only done a mechanical shake down of the Wave so far, nuts and bolts, chain slack, put a new plug in [ big gap on the plug !!!] Put a new air filter in, there a squeeze to get in aren't they!! Check the oil, and check all the electrics are in order. Somebody was quite generous with the loctite on the plastic fixings . She purrs like a kitten once warmed up.
Anything to watch out for on these models?
I know on the CRM's the swinging arm bearings seized up from constant jet washing, without taking them out and re-greasing every six months or so.
Regards
Mike
