Hello everyone!
We got a 1986 C90 for my wife to use commuting through Manchester. The Cub will be more economical and quicker than the Passat, and I get to use the Passat which is more economical and quicker than my S1 Land Rover!
The bike has done 13000 miles and has been sat doing nothing for quite a few years.
It seems like there is a carb blockage as it won't idle and is lumpy with the throttle open as well.
I've tried stripping, cleaning and rebuilding with no luck.
Can anyone recommend a carb rebuilder who can also do an ultrasonic clean?

Welcome to the club, did you check the filter under the float bowl when you cleaned it ? I bought a £13.95 carb for my bike and it worked out of the box I used the genuine Honda Needle and top cap as it was easier than changing it :o  .

Ride it!

That's the only advice I can give.

My own Cub had been stood for some time when I got it, plus the previous owner had installed a replacement £0-from-ebay Chinese carb on it.

It displayed the same symptoms as yours. One piece of advice I was given was simply to ride it, a lot and it would settle down to working with some kind of normality.

I did, and it did. :)

I've got hold of the carb. It's only taken me 2hrs to strip clean and unblock the jets

Hub thinks I'm some sort of peculiar person sitting here enjoying a 'how to clean your carb' video instead of the film.

Carb fitted this evening. Started and ran, ticking over really nice when I left it.
