Re: hi from Sussex
thanks for the welcome! it starts but is very rich, i have not been through it but a very good mechanic has looked at it and has installed a new set of points, checked the gap and timing, new carb, valve clearances done, battery seems charged, (not tested but loud horn and bright neutral switch) fuel seems fresh but can't verify. but intermittently it sounds like the choke is on and chugs the plug is black as your hat. very odd mainly it runs rough, its done just under 10k 1982 c70 with round headlight can't really tell you any more i need to go through it all for piece of mind, maybe if someone is near me they can cast their eye over it.. cup a tea always on the go .

All I can say is what I was told I also have the old carb as the problem was thought to lye with that but it wasn't, the new carb looks like an exact replica no branding, I need to check jet size to, the needle clip is in the middle, mixture screw x2 turn out from lightly seated it has a round fuel bowl, I think it's better zz model as it has no small light under the headlight
