Try the clutch adjustment in the guides ,and the brake should be easy . Now for the scooter rally.
Thanks, already had the clutch guide loaded up to try tomorrow.

Brake will be nut tightening, footrest needs a welder and grinder.

I’m down for a 30mile MTB Ride From Arreton Sunday, so might not get C90 fun until Monday.

Engine says 300klms running in, but Pitbikespares said I didn’t need to worry as I’m using it on the road and not flat out in a Pitbike,

There is a guide to running in engines on here as well , basically use up to full revs but not on full load for 20 miles and then change the oil .

Thanks WightEgi

Done about 20miles today. Gearshifts are much better since adjusting.

In other cub news, paid for a vin check on:

C50 (turns out it was a z2 but has been scrapped on dvla).

C90 that my brother rode around the fields, and is half complete in the barn - is not scrapped, v5 has been applied for. This could be used for the scrambler style build, daylight mot (exempt) and tax exempt.
Good news is, it has a 5 character number plate “LTA 8F” and was first Reg 26/09/1967

Latest updates:

C90T is working fine, I have a few bits to fix (short Indicator stalks I got from Wemoto- one perfect, the other not made to the same standard and has gone floppy).

I now have the V5s for the following frames with original engines:

1967 C90
1972 C70
1979 C70Z2

Big thanks to Diesel Dave for his advice on how to get the 67 bike running, fingers crossed it will spark this week!

So glad it was just me riding....
About to take my wife for her first ride on the back of my C90T.
Thought I better take a quick test ride.

Made it 30meters 😱
Front wheel locked up just after I left home. Big black skid and I fell off in the road.
Dragged the bike to the side of the road, got some tools from home and started to work out why. Brake lever and cable Solid.

Eventually got it apart, brake lining had come off of one shoe. And I could see a crack on the alloy backing, both shoes then fell apart!!!
So pleased I didn’t have my wife on the back.
The last person to ride it was a friend(mot tester) at 55mph 2wks ago.... 😳

EBC grooved shoes are best , the patern ones from Wemoto cost more than genuine Honda ones .

Thanks for the advice Gents.

I did plan on getting ebc grooved, but a search on here showed my C90T uses a different shoe to the grooved ones in stock at Wemoto (304 rather than a 303). So I got plain shoes this time as I also needed to do a big order inc parts for the C70Z2, CE90 and my brothers 1981 Passport.

The grooved part number just adds a G to the end ,I do not know if 304G exists .

Edit to add 304G is in stock ;)

put your own grooves in with an angle grinder
