Hello! here to learn!

Post by HereToLearn » Mon Jul 09, 2012 11:26 pm

Hello
As my name suggests, i'm here to learn about everything Cub related.
Had a C90 when I was younger and the memories of ripping that thing along the disused railway still burn strong :P !
Recently broke up with my girlfriend and thought i would get myself a different type of girl to get stuck into
Pretty skint at the mo so scoured ebay for the cheapest i could find, found a spares or repair 1975 6v c90 with enough welding and metal plates to rival a battleship.
When i bought it, it was running but would not idle, in the process of cleaning/replacing to try and get it running nice.
Does anyone know if i have to buy a 6v c90 exhaust or are all c90 exhaust the same?
i will post this question somewhere else if more appropriate?

cheers, HTL

You wil need a 6 volt 90 exhaust as it is unique to that bike ,there is a lot on here about 6 volt bikes .Davebike may not be too far from you he runs a bike repair shop . Anyway welcome to the mad world of cub ownership there is a meeting in the new forest in august just turn up.

Hi HTL, welcome to the C90 Club :D

Well done on the and I hope it proves more reliable than the GF :?

As said, davebike is very good and in Penge. I too live in South London.

If you want to do things on the cheap the Cub is the perfect bike, Boo for example made a very good working exhaust from a clothes rail! :P

Cheers guys, feel very welcome!
think I will have to make a visit to this Davebike fella, he's not too far at all.
I had a look on ebay for a 6v 90 exhaust with no luck.
