Im the New Guy, need help

Post by JBsC90 » Fri Jul 06, 2012 1:54 pm

Hey Guys

I just bought a 1995 Honda C90 for £400 in good condition, all it needs is a new battery, tax and MOT and then i will be on the road.
Because im only 17 it means i can only ride with "L" plates, which is annoying because me and my dad planned on going to battlefields in France on our C90s but "L" plates are not allowed out of the UK. So does anyone know any places in the UK that would be worth a visit on my C90 with my dad.

cheers Jarrad

Hi Jarrad and welcome to the Club. Glad you found us :D

Going out for a ride with the old man is an excellent idea ......... you'd not be the only father / son combo on here too!

I guess the first question would be what area do you live in and how far do you want to travel?

Hi and welcome. I think its cool that you even want to be seen with your dad at 17. :)

There's plenty of inspiration in the riding stories section if you take the time to rifle through them.

I'm not sure how the law applies in Ireland but I know that a lot of Northern (UK) riders who travel south of the border to attend our ride outs on a regular basis on L plates without any hassle from the police.....

Are you sure 'L' plates aren't allowed in France? This article http://www.pulsemoto.co.uk/reviews/201111TAG.pdf seems to suggest you can ride in France with British 'L' plates.

Well there's a thing! the other father/son combo I mentioned also live in your area. I bet they'd be up for a ride out sometime. :P

How about Matlock and area?
