That was Jono, our friendly 'local' policeman. He's a member of this board. You can check it out here.

Brilliant, I hoped he might be a member.
Is the C90 particularly popular in Suffolk? We see a lot in London, they do go up hills you know! ha

Re: Suffolk to Gibraltar and back
I 'lost' two in 8 months. The first one became a 'communual' bike according to the coroner after the death of one of the thieves whilst riding it. So I bought another one and whilst cleaning it the first day I had it, the yobs came by and said "Nice bike. Our mate was killed by your other bike. We're gonna have that later. " And they did. They took it into the carpark a few doors up from me and set fire to it.

That is such a sad story in every resect and one of the saddest photos to accompany it.

Half an hour after that photo was taken, before the police or insurance co got there, the remains of the bike were stolen again. All I had as proof were the photos.
Believe it or not I slept through the whole thing. The bike being taken from my front yard, about 5ft from my bed, the locks being cut, the bike being carried away and the explosion when the bike blew up. I never even heard the fire engines.
They stole the wing mirrors before setting it alight and the muffs I think because we never found their remnants in the debris. Somebody said they might be over that wall having been taken off because of finger prints along with the locks and chains that were also with the bike but missing. Alarmingly the steering lock was undone. I know I locked it before I left it for the night.

It get worse and I know how easy it is to get attached to these little bikes, Oh dear ... does this sound a bit like counseling?
My case was not so very different, the bike was in the front garden right next to the kitchen window and again the steering lock was on and a £100 chain/lock going through the back wheel!
I now have to take the bike (new one)through the front door through the house and out the back door, my girlfriend really enjoys that bit.

Re: Suffolk to Gibraltar and back
I haven't got that option where I live. My bike had a thick cable lock through the front wheel, steering lock and the back wheel had a heavy chain and lock to the wall. This one has all of the above but the front wheel is now also chained to the wall and is awkward to get to if you wanted to cut it off. They seemed determined to steal things. It's almost as though it's a challenge just to see if they can get it. I mean, to steal a bike, take it a few yards and then set fire to it? They were just trying to prove to me that what ever I own they can have any time they like. At least that's what it feels like to me.
