Views of the Lancashire Countryside.
I have not posted much reciently due to problems with Photobucket so I’m trying “Postimage”. Hope the results are OK.
There were taken on yesterday’s ride. Tom Robinson & I met at M6 Junction 33, went down the back lanes to Bull Beck picnic area for a brew, then over the Crook o’ Lune Bridge to Carnforth & down to Jenny Brown’s Point.
Had Fish & Chips for lunch at Arnside (they were “spot on”). Tried to go down the Sandside road but it was closed due to an accident so it was over the back lanes to Hutton Roof & Burton in Kendal. When we got to Priest Hutton I saw a beautiful view of a house & red telephone box across the green so I asked Tom to stop. What a coincidence! He said that it was where his sister’s family used to live.
From there we crossed the Lune at Hornby had another brew at Bull Beck before going back on the motorway. A great day out with very good company & we didn’t see a spot of rain.
