Just a pair of "Coffin Dodgers"
It’s nice to have a ride during the week when everyone else is working, nice to think that you can ride along the motorway without those weekend drivers pulling in front of you putting their brakes on & putting up with show offs causing accidents.
Well if you’re ever thinking of visiting the Lake District there’s a nice little gem which mustn’t be missed. It’s the Threlkeld Quarry & Mining Museum which is located near Keswick. There is a wealth of old excavating machinery, cranes & an enormous bulldozer all mainly from the days before hydraulics.

Went with my good mate Tom Robinson who used to be a Foreman Mechanic amongst other things. I think that one of his favorite jobs was as a crane driver, he had an 80 tonne 6 wheeled crane & used to work from his home in the Lake District & this place was one of his favorite haunts.
It’s a lovely ride up through Windermere & Ambleside passing Rydal water, Thirlmere & along the A591 part of which was washed away by the floods. Why not give it a try but best not at weekends go during the week.

Interesting, I like that. If only places like that were a bit nearer to me.

Ideal transport for us old “Coffin Dodgers”. Just twist the handle & it goes, no chain, tubeless tyres,
& 16” wheels.
Don’t tell anyone (especially Bogger ) but Tom has a 300cc engine in his. He’s a super fast “Coffin Dodger”.

Yep Mark, that was me. Had a ride to my son's at Sale.
Looks as though the bike is nearly sold. Unfortunately a dealer from London. He's offered £1450.
