***k me Knapdog. Remind me to never ever to go on a ride with you, ever. By the second day there would be some freshly dug earth in a layby somewhere quiet with a shonky old bike pushed down a nearby embankment and me riding away with a smug evil look on my face.
Bogger...Talk about p**s poor planning and execution
Knapdog, I literally did laugh out loud at that story, then some more when I read Bogger's response.
Priceless!

Got my pocket picked at my first fuel stop and lost all my Euros.
We were on the Metro in Paris in 2002 when the packed train stopped suddenly. I realised that the bloke beside me had his hand in my jacket inside pocket on my wallet.
Quite a painful experience ...

I was beginning to wonder how long it would be before Jim and Ged-ward would make a comment.

Mine came with a hint of embarassing recognition.
I expect that a lot of us have a "That didn't turn out as planned" trip or two under our tyres!

^^^ I'm sure.
Also forgot to mention that not one of the petrol staions would accept my card at the pump. "Carte pas accepte" each time.
I phoned my building society up and they didn't know why. Fortunately each time I was able to pay cash at the Caisse hut near each exit.
The autoroute "peage" tolls did accept it.

Talk about being unlucky
Love the clutch lever repair though - I now need a jubilee clip as well as wd40 & duct-tape!
