I must admit that I don't visit there very often so I don't know when they did the chopping but it had obviously already been done when you got there. I only went this time to pick up a magazine that they used to send out free.

Yep, that's it. Why have they chopped down the trees and bushes and covered those areas in wood shavings? There used to be a tree there with a big bracket fungus on it.
I don't know to be honest. This was taken in Feb 2016 when Richie organised a meet up there.
It was my first visit to High Beach.
Is it about time we had another meet-up?

High Beech or Box Hill don't mind. :P
