Well, I did it and it hurt.

Then again, it wasn't meant to be easy. 8-)

Thanks again to those who donated to Laura's cause. I'm humbled by how generous folk have been for such a bonkers mission.

Strava link to the ride. As you will see it was "quite hilly"

Convert it to pedelec. Electric bicykles are a hoot, but the replacement costs of batteries make them more expensive per mile than a two-stroke motorcycle.

A great effort. 65 miles on a racing bike can be taxing but on a small wheeled folding machine I'd say that was literally a pain in the arse. Respect for the cap'n for a great cause.

Yup, got one of those and love it. It's a folder too but I woudn't want to be carrying it onto a train under one arm. I also doubt that mine would make it 71 miles without a recharge halfway. :)

I'd love one. First bike I ever rode on the road (iilegally at 15  ) on holiday in Great Yarmouth. The E-Go reminds me of a Velosolex a bit, being front wheel motored.

Cheers. I've a feeling that those hills would hurt on anything leg-powered.

I re-visited your Just Giving page to see how far the ride was.

63 miles! On that thing! Jeez Cap, that's mental! No wonder it hurt!

Well done! :D
