Day 5
Carlisle to Windermere

We dragged our way up Kirkstone Pass and pulled in for a well earned rest.
.....Within minutes the Pass was so steep we literally had to slam the cubs down into first gear. Unfortunately the flying fox ( now known as Evil Kirk Knievel ) in the middle of this manoeuvre, pointed his front wheel (aka a wheelie) at approximately 45° to the heavens, to the astonishment of oncoming motorists and proceeded to break the welsh record for one wheel traction in Cumbria! Over the intercom, rear gunner billyfix pleaded to stop as the tears of laughter running down his face and his stomach contortions were making riding impossible.

The very, very, very end of day 5, knapdog decides to shave all his hair off.

The fox, (aka the flying fox, plummeting fox, fruit bat, Monty Python's Flying Fox ) is forthwith known as Muddy Fox due to his longing to get closer to Mother Earth and his connection with the Blues.

The fogeys enjoy a pint on Chepstow and the fox's cub goes down for the fifth time.
