Same applies in HungaryDon't go to Romania just with the CBT. They want to see AM, A1, A2 or A (depending on what you ride, in your case A1) written on your driver's licence.

You certainly can't go to France as a learner with L plates.

We lived behind the airport, left 4 year ago, we had kennels but got fed up with the town hall always on our back, the had no concept of boarding kennels.bru3ce wrote:South of Lake Balaton in Somogy County. Re: Riding Abroad Queries
I think the point is that with a full car licence, you can take the 'L' plates off as in many countries the car full licence alone is sufficient for up to 125cc. However, it seems France requires 7 hours of lessons as well as the full car Euro type licence. Whether on not a CBT qualifies as the 7 hours I don't know.knapdog wrote:You certainly can't go to France as a learner with L plates.

Re: Riding Abroad Queries
For a start, no one needs L plates in France, they don't recognise them.
Secondly, you don't need a CBT, but can ride on a UK car licence under certain circumstances,. See the link, earlier in the thread.

One of the ways your contact stipulated it was OK to ride a 125cc bike in France was '...or have insured a 125cc in the last 5 years in your name.”Newtsalad wrote:For a start, no one needs L plates in France, they don't recognise them.

I wonder if that is 'any bike between a certain cc and 125cc, or just 125cc bikes...???

Yeah, my apologies there newt, I'd only scanned the thread and foolishly jumped in with what I thought was a little bit of knowledge. Lesson learned.Newtsalad wrote:Learner what with L plates what?knapdog wrote:You certainly can't go to France as a learner with L plates.
