i filled up before i left and 65 miles at 45mph i was in petrol station once more. two hours 15 mins and i was there and i only got a little wet in 2 showers that fell on me. this run was different to all the other runs ever held in ireland as this run was not held in conjunction with any charity so there was no food no breakdown truck no garda escort (irish cops) and all bikes had to be insured which id say kept them away in there droves.
anyway the 30 or so of us which did turn up took off and head for the river shannon (ireland longest river) we stopped at shannon harbour where all the cruise boats were all parked up and this was a lovely area.1 hour later and my sambos gone we head off again and passed the big turf fields or bogs as there better known .
6pm we got back and while every one packed up there bikes onto there trailers and vans id just pyt my ipod on long play and went for petrol (three fills in one day!!!) 2 hours and 20 mins and i was in my house in dublin and my ass was pretty sore from my new record of 218 miles on my little honda cub 90
