Between Monday June 14th & Thursday 17th 2010 myself & 7 others rode from Huntingdon (Cambs) to Paris & back in aid of 'help for heroes'. First day was Huntingdon to Dover - ferry - then Calais to Boulogne-sur-Mer, Boulogne-sur-Mer to Paris - so much fun riding through Paris - Champs-Élysées - Eifeel tower - amazing !! Especially at night - Then the reverse the next two (long..........) days. All A / B roads as the majority of the group were 50cc non full license holders.......
Idea was to purchase a moped as cheap as poss (eBay etc...) make it legal & get to Paris & back. I bought / used a C90 - L reg - 43,0000 miles (now 43,700) did not miss a beat!! (690 miles in total !!) majority done in the company of a Vision 50cc (1986!!) & an newer SFX, trio of Honda reliability!!
It also out paced all 7 other bikes including a 57 plate 125cc Chinese job...
To prepare I treated it to a new head gasket (piston/ rings in good order) new pattern shocks, kick start oil seal, airfilter, plug, battery, tappets adjusted & proper cleaning of the centrifugal oil filter (where did that silver paste come from?!?) & guaze (ended up waxoyling most of the bike too....) Superb machines...

40,000 miles worth of wear! Leiba's engine had it big style throughout the oil, bits of engine ground away into, as you say, a fine paste! 40,000 miles Not bad for a 90 aye! keep changing the oil and do another 40,000 miles(where did that silver paste come from?!?)
