Out and about...

Post by Newtsalad » Mon May 17, 2010 7:23 pm

Not long now before I depart for Spain with some lads from the cub90 board! :D :D :D :D :D
Nowt much to do with cubs, as we're taking 125's. :o
I'm hijacking SU's Kwakasicky 125 Eliminator, and with the imminence of the run in mind thought I'd give it a run out today.
So, off to Ippy to looksee a car for ag. Got caught in an almighty storm, I was all in leathers and trousers were tucked into boots, first thing I did was stop and pull 'em out as me boots filled up, and try to find somewhere dry for the Blackberry!
Piss wet through, and even me money was soggy!
Then off to Woodbridge where I collected the newly made army bag type panniers. Not sure about them yet. :?
Back to Debenham and pick up some shopping for lunch, back home to make lunch for the Duchess, and just time to blat off to Mototechniks to collect the £177 worth of innertubes I'd ordered!
I took a rucksack as well as the little leather panniers Su has on her bike.
Good job I did! I gulped at the box the lady at Mototechniks bought out, and seeing the look on my face, she informed me there was another, and indeed there was, twice the size!
ANyway, bit of improvisation and I got loaded and got away, finally stopping with 134 miles up to fill up and check out the MPG. which came out at 74.37!
So, with a 13 litre tank I'll have a range of 213 miles!
Bricklayer is here at 08.00 tomorrow, so back to hodding for me    and playing building.
Oh well, I won't be about for a bit again, such is the life of a Newt. :D

Cheers Pjam!
Erm, as regards the route, nige has kindly posted it up a few times, and I keep losing it....
I booked the same ferry as the others, and I simply intend to follow!
I just hope I can keep up!
As regards photo's etc, depends how long the day is, if there's time at the end of the day I'll send any amusing ones across to the board!
Ps, I have your tubes! If you want them urgent, I can post if you wish?

When ever I go shopping on the cub I end up doing 4 times the mileage i need to do, meaning it would actually be cheaper to take the car
