I've just picked up my new boots and they're HORRIBLE!! They're OK as boots go but I hate them. Getting them on was a nightmare, they caught on the bridge of my foot, then when on they were tight, (pinchy) around my heel. Getting them off was even worse, I'll have to make sure someone is home to help me each time. Plus my feet felt claustrophobic in them. But I suppose I will have to persevere. Any ideas on how I can loosen them up? (They're not leather by the way)
Urgh.

Tights! Nylon stockings  Silk socks or popsox. I would put on two pairs of socks, spray the boots with some furniture polish, shoehorn 'em on & go for a brisk walk but not long enough to get blisters. Repeat 24 hrs later. Then go back to tights... Don't ask me how I know this!

I've decided that I'm going to sell them and get another pair a size larger. I take a 6 and these were 7's so I thought they'd be alright but obviously not so I'm going to look for a size 8. As Hub says, I can always wear thicker socks with them.
Oh hum.

I don't really like the look of them but hey, they're motorcycle boots so if they fit they'll do.

I've used Rigger boots when times are hard. £15 from a little shoppe off Brick Lane. They're petrol/oil resistant & when they start to stink (& they WILL start to stink, in fact there is nothing, NO thing worse than damp courier foot stink), just chuck 'em & buy some more. We had a guy who worked with us who went under the name of quattro formaggi. He was a proper minger! His HANDS stank worse than my feet!

You're forgetting Janz, I really only want a pair of M/C boots to do my test with. After that I will probably revert to my usual mode of footwear.
[Which I will even be wearing tonight to walk round to the pub for the diddly dee music tonight. I just put a pair of snow grippers on them. :) ]
