,,,would one source a repair kit similar tothis (I tend not to "do" ebay, as it seems to be populated and indeed,run,by shysters)

you can buy on line or phone them up I have 2 bikes and have the right year and model of each bookmarked on my computer so if I need any thing I can look there. The link is to a 12 volt model .

cheers fellas 8-) (now compiling a list 8-) 8-) 8-) ) ,,,is there a difference between the 12 and 6volts then ? ,,as far as the front forks go ? (note to self, gen up on model differences)

for your 89 model same as the one in the link 12 v 10mm and 6 v 12mm spindle.
