Sod it .!! while i'm waiting for the rain to stop ....
i'm gonna whip the tank off ...& make dure everything is nice & clean on the inside too

Yeah I give 'em the Newt special treatment, I sand blast them with fine kiln dried sand, brings 'em up a treat!

[/Right i have drained the tank , I have threaded a wire right through The fuel line and looked through it ,.
seems in good nick .
There we're quite a few bits in the bottom of the tank so swilled it out several times with petrol .....
now thats all cleaned put all back together and flushed petrol through carb even when i filled tank out of can i used a home made filter .
Took 16T off put original back on then cleaned spark plug ...so ....

You're certainly getting around deano, over on the other site too. But you can't get away from them. They'll chase you up over here and still tell you to put a new fuel pipe on.

Ha-ha well spotted leiba......but then again could be someone else with the exact same problem that ole clich'e of there is always someone else doing the exactly the same as you at the same time somewhere in the world..!!!..
But nahhh fuel pipe shopping tomorrow it is !!...lol
been out on her just to make sure nothing drops off etc .....& not a wiff of a hiss "pop" or backfire so think my old carb was maybe sucking air in
