Then maybe the CDi, but they're not so easy to do.....

CDI is easier than the coil you mean??

Is it? Oh I'm thinking of the stator wire wound thingy under the oojumaflobe. You have to take the rotor off for that.....

CDI is a little box next to the regulator! Just a plug to unclip and its free!! Coil is under the fuel tank, and unless you got small fingers you need seat off and fuel tank out!

Ha-ha i'll try the carb first ,then go from there ,
i've had the coil out already ,,bit of a pain taking battery out ,carrier etc..but was just to make sure wires were ok etc....
I can't thank you enough matey ......gonna test the carb tomorrow ...

Just a quick question .....Does everybody use the heat spacer on the carb..???...

There was a heat spacer on that carb, when on my bike.
However, When I put ag's carb on, I left it off! as I want to see how it runs without the spacer, for cold weather riding!
Someone, it may have been Nut, was saying how it's left out of later models, and the manifold wall is thickened to actually aid the transfer of heat from the engine to the carb.
If I were you Dean, I'd put the spacer in for the purposes of testing.
When the current 'issue' is resolved, then it might be good to try different things.

Well ...Carb is on fitted c/w heat spacer.........gotta test her when this bloody rain lets up a bit. ....
she starts ok ..lol
changing back to a 15T sprocket too ...
