C90 6v top shock bracket

Post by Biglav » Mon Jul 24, 2023 11:40 am

Has anyone got a top shock bracket left side.
It fastens to the frame with 3 countersunk bolts, the seat bracket is also bolted to it.
Cheers.
Peter

Hi.
Could be, but the seat bracket bolts to it, so I can't fit the seat without the missing left side bracket.
Would be grateful if someone is prepared to help out.
Cheers
Peter

I'm no expert on the different models, all I know is I need a bracket. I would have thought someone might be able to help with a bracket. If I can't get one I might have to consider scrapping it. Shame because it has matching engine/ frame number and a v5. My own fault I bought it in bits and failed to identify what was missing.
Cheers
Peter.

Not having a go at anyone's knowledge just clarifying the issue.
Unfortunately its a relatively thin piece of metal and rots easily.
As you can see in the photo.
Try D and K in Stoke they import stuff from the states and i believe it's the same as used on a CT90/110
They may have a scrapper with a rotten or bent frame that's being stripped for parts.
Or even try a few breakers over in the states or Auz/New Zealand there are plenty of CTs rotting away in both of those countries i expect.
I resorted to getting a S/H exhaust pipe from Australia for my PE175 so worth a bit of time on the net.
Seems a shame to scrap it over such a small part but if you do posting it for sale and price on here would be appreciated.
It's a very rare model if the engine and frame number match in fact possibly unique.
Yamaha were good for that but the Honda Engines and Chassis where made in different factories and the transport/timing arrangement usually caused them to not match up.

Thanks for reply, I will ring d&k. As you say plenty available in states but £40 by time you pay postage.
Would have thought plenty in uk but can't find one, that's usually the case when you want something. If I decide to sell it will be on this forum I hate fleabay.
When I said matching engine and frame numbers what I should have said was they match the v5c. My mistake for not being clear enough.
Cheers
Peter.

Thanks for replying.
Csmnl £50 plus postage.
Searched the number on e bay all listed in USA.
Postage cost makes them expensive.
There must be some of these in the UK that folk have removed from scrap frames. Will hang on and hopefully someone will be able to sell me one at a reasonable price.
Cheers
Peter.
