Wanted: 1993 electric start right hand side cover (metallic red)

Post by Bobby90 » Mon Jul 17, 2023 7:29 am

Hi, nothing wrong with mine, but I want to add accessory sockets etc and want to keep mine in one piece.

Looked on auction sites etc, seems to be many blue but no red?

From what I understand the right hand side is wider on the electric start as the battery is larger/in a different place?

Ideally wanted with the c90 badge and black electric start sticker.

Thank you.

They come up on eBay occasionally, you have to be quick and keep checking, I've had a couple from people making Custom Cubs in the past in job lots of plastics.

I managed to score an absolute minter a few years ago, took it off as it showed all the other panels up. :D

Yes, ES right hand panel is unique to ES models.
Battery is mounted outside the frame in an external battery cradle. (The kick only battery slides sideways into the frame in a cradle).
If you can't source one then think about the left (tool) panel. It is possible ( with some tinkering ) to feed cables through frame from other side. The left sides are the same to both ES and kick only models.
Andy.
