Hi Gents,
Nearly ready to go on the big trip now.
Just a couple of engines to finally get around to rebuilding but I find myself in need of a stator side engine cover with the chain guard part on it for shipping to Dublin in Ireland.
Any takers?

Re: Stator Cover 12v Wanted
HI all,
Again I just want to say I'm still looking for this part.
Has anybody got one at all? The need is starting to get a little more dire.

Getting hard to find unfortunately. They tend to be destroyed any time a chain snaps.

I actually got really lucky and picked up up from a local scrap guy for 10 euro the other day.
It's got a crack in the side which is about an inch long and goes all the way through so I'm going to have to fix it back into place and cut a groove on the inside and outside before filling it in with bronze.

Alloy melts long before bronze........or even braze.
There are alloy rods that can be used like a solder - prob your best bet if you don't have access to TIG welding.

I do have a TIG welder alright but you're right about the melting point and I'm not the worlds greatest TIG welder either.
When I installed a longer actuating arm on the front brake I broke a piece off the casting and had a guy build it up with aluminium filler rod. After that I just drilled a hole through it and bob's your uncle I could send the brake cable through it again and it's stronger than it was before so I'll probably have the same guy sort it out since it's just really an inch of weld needed.
