Do you have the old school analog Haynes? or the guides here might help.

i have a haynes manual and i wasn't that impressed.. was hoping the shop manual was better...

was just after some wiring guides for a 1998 non electric start model, specifically checking the reg/rec and charging circuits

ag has a Honda 90 Workshop manual, there are 4 pages on the battery charging system, I've copied them and will leave them on the bench in the front porch if you want to come round and help yourself to them.
I have to go to Diss Car Spares first thing for some brake fluid. When I come back I'll be working on the Toyota for a bit. (As short a while as possible!) My old Mum will be in, but don't knock if the grey Toyota Liteace people carrier or the blue micra isn't there, it takes her awhile to get to the door!
Anyway, they're out there now if you need them! Cheers!

The correct Haynes is # 324

PM me your address & I will pop you a cd with the Genuine Honda workshop manual for JUST the 12v models CDI , in PDF files...

Here y' go.. the wiring diagram for all Cubs C90E onwards.

Note the charging circuit including reg/rec is self-contained, only connecting to the battery via the red wire, and the lighting via the yellow.



PS.. The correct Haynes is still not specifically written for the 12v bikes. It's the old 1977 edition, with everything for the 12v bikes in a supplementary chapter, with referrals to the C50/C70 engine in the main manual. (12v C90 engine being based on the old 50/70)
Very confusing unless you already know what you're doing, and very very lazy of Haynes publishing!!!
If your existing Haynes covers 12v square lamp models at all, the newer one is no different, so don't waste your money!!

Yeah! In my recycling bin! I literally put it there Tuesday, it's been rolled up stuck between the slats of the bench in case you needed it! I came out & it was on the floor, & I thought, they'll have sorted it then.....
